Why your height matters
A 26-inch finished braid can land at different body points on two people with different torso lengths. For quantity planning, body landmarks are often easier for consumers; for buying the extension product itself, the manufacturer's actual fiber length matters.
Packaged length may be measured folded
Some pre-stretched braiding hair is sold by the total fiber length while the hair is folded in half for braiding. That means a package labeled around 52 inches can produce roughly half that as a finished hanging length before technique and body proportions are considered.
