Use this free calculator to estimate the human-hair curl portion for boho or goddess braids. HairMetric calculates in grams first because bundle and pack sizes vary between sellers.
Calculate human hairThis estimates loose human-hair curls and curly ends. It does not include the synthetic/pre-stretched hair used to build the braid body.
Choose your details and calculate.
Many standard boho braid installs use roughly 2–4 bundles when each bundle contains 100g of human hair. A light accent look may use less, while longer, fuller or curl-heavy goddess braids may require more.
Bundle count alone can be misleading: two 50g bundles contain the same amount of hair as one 100g bundle. Enter the weight printed on your product so the calculator can convert the estimate into the number of bundles you actually need.

Loose human-hair pieces create the boho/goddess effect. This page estimates that portion separately.
Published guides commonly describe 50g, 100g and other bundle sizes. Grams make those products comparable.
Braid size is only a proxy for how many braids you will have. If your braider plans 52 braids, entering 52 is more useful than simply selecting “medium.” If you leave it blank, HairMetric estimates a braid count using the selected size and your head circumference.

A common starting range is 2–4 bundles when each bundle contains 100g. Your actual amount depends on braid count, finished length, curl placement and desired fullness, so use the calculator for a more personalized range.
About 200–400g is a common planning range for a standard boho effect. Light accents may use less, while long or extra-full goddess styles can use more.
No. This calculator estimates the loose human-hair curls only. Use HairMetric's knotless braid hair calculator for the synthetic or pre-stretched braid base.
One stylist may add a small curl piece to every other braid while another adds several pieces to nearly every braid. Bundle weight and how full the human hair is drawn also vary.
Usually, yes. Longer curls use more hair per placement, especially when the loose pieces continue through the ends. The calculator adjusts the estimate using your selected finished length.
Enter 50g. The calculator will convert the same total gram estimate into twice as many packs compared with a 100g product.
The starting model is anchored around published guidance that standard boho installs often fall around 2–4 100g packs/bundles, while light accent looks can use less and very full or long styles can use substantially more. Length, braid size, head size and curl fullness then modify the estimate conservatively.
